The highly skilled Ghanaian dancer, Roland Frimpong Nyarko, known by the nickname, ‘Champion Rolie,’ has exhibited profound empathy towards the street children in Accra through his generous donation of clothing and provision of meals for numerous kids.
Established in December 2023, the Champion Rolie Foundation has been actively engaged in a variety of outreach endeavors aimed at enhancing the welfare of street children. These initiatives encompass nutritional programs and complimentary medical check-ups.
During its third outreach initiative, hosted at Kotobabi Wembley Park in Accra, a multitude of children relished in exciting activities, abundant refreshments, and beverages. The occasion, named “Clothe-A-Child; Change a Life,”entailed children receiving educational materials and apparel. They engaged in spirited dance competitions, with the victors being bestowed with special gifts from the Champion Rolie Foundation.
Addressing the audience at the gathering, Champion Rolie, the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, underscored his dedication to supporting the marginalized members of society. He expressed, “Growing up, I always saw my mom give back to society, so I learned these traits from her, and I decided to also emulate that. So, having reached this stage of my professional career, I decided to reach out to these children on the street.”
Champion Rolie articulated his aspiration to unearth and cultivate gifted underprivileged youth with a fervor for dance, affording them an avenue for success. “I intend to groom about 10 dancers from the dancing competition and look to make them smile again. I want to thank all sponsors for the support they have given me thus far and look forward to reaching out to more kids around the country,” he said.
The effective outreach initiative was graced by the presence of Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent renowned as Afronitaa, as well as the social media sensation Official Starter. Additionally, distinguished members of the DWP Academy, such as Endurance Grand, Lisa Quam, Real Cesh, and Quables, were in attendance at the occasion.
