The Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF) is an annual film festival that honors the works of filmmakers hailing from Africa, offering a prestigious platform for African films to be presented on the global stage. The oncoming film festival is scheduled to take place in Accra from September 15 to September 21, 2024.
A Country Called Ghana, starring renowned Nigerian actors such as Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awuram, and Victor Osuwagu, has received several recognitions since its debut in May 2024. The film has already received nominations in Germany and New Zealand and is set to be showcased at the Nollywood Film Festival and IMO International Film Festival later in 2024.
Lil Win premiered A Country Called Ghana at KNUST’s CCB Auditorium in Kumasi on May 25, 2024, shortly after being involved in a serious car accident that tragically resulted in the loss of a 3-year-old child. But luck seem to have shone on him as his movie gains this incredible feat of being a nominated movie in a category in Black Star International Film Festival.
