Ghanaian Dancehall artist Stonebwoy has expressed that despite his numerous accomplishments in his music career, he acknowledges that he still has a significant journey ahead. The 25th TGMA Artiste of the Year is of the belief that he has an additional fifty years to dedicate to his craft in the music industry.
“I am yet to work with Appietus in my career, so I have fifty more years to go. Nothing happen. If I am here to work with Appietus, you can just imagine,” he expressed, while acknowledging the invaluable contributions of music producers such as Fredima, Mix Master Garzy, and Appietus at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards held on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
The event, organized by Charterhouse Ghana, the annual producers of the Ghana Music Awards, brought together prominent executives and stakeholders in Ghana’s dynamic creative industry. Stonebwoy, along with all other recipients of the 25th TGMA, were bestowed with their official TGMA plaques during the ceremony.
Receiving his plague at the event, he said: “I humbly just want to say thank you guys [industry] so much for supporting the Ghana Music Awards.This is the only one we have. For me, if I have to work harder 100 times and win what is deserved 100 times, I think it’s in the right way for Ghana music.”
The Telecel Ghana Music Awards, organized by Charterhouse Productions Ltd and Telecel, is an esteemed event that honors the exceptional musical talent of Ghana. The recent Industry Mixer showcased captivating performances by renowned artists such as Stonebwoy and Adane Best, creating an unforgettable evening. Stonebwoy secured the distinguished title of ‘Artist of the Year’ at the 25th TGMA, marking his second consecutive win in this category.
The prestigious event unfolded at the Grand Arena, located within the Accra International Conference Centre. The awards ceremony, which transpired on the 1st of June 2024, was a lavish affair presided over by the accomplished hosts Chris Attoh and Naa Ashorkor. The evening was further elevated by stellar performances from King Paluta, Efya Nokturnal, and Kuami Eugene.
