Ghana Gas sets to halt operations on 17th August.

The Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has announced the temporary halt of operations at its Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and offshore Gas Export Facilities from the 1st to the 17th of August 2024.

This shutdown is necessary to facilitate crucial safety measures and essential maintenance activities aimed at optimizing the plant’s operational efficiency and ensuring uninterrupted gas supply, as stated by Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah, the head of Corporate Communications, on Wednesday, July 31.

Throughout this period of shutdown, it has been communicated that Lean Gas sourced from the Sankofa-OCTP field will be accessible for distribution at the Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS).

“Ghana Gas deeply regrets any inconvenience that the shutdown may cause but assures the general public that there will be uninterrupted power supply during the shutdown period.

“We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of safety and operational efficiency,” the statement stated.
