Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party reveals her plans for the upcoming elections

Akua Donkor, the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party, is preparing to enter the presidential race in the upcoming December 7 election. Despite maintaining a lower profile compared to other contenders, Akua Donkor has been discreetly engaging in grassroots campaigning to secure more support. In a video featured on Graphiconline’s X page, she mentioned her intention to unveil her policies and manifesto at the opportune moment.

However, she proceeded to reveal one of her policies. Akua Donkor conveyed her discontent with the New Patriotic Party’s proposal to privatize the development and management of the Saglemi Housing Project. She argued that privatizing the project would render it unaffordable and beyond the means of the average Ghanaian.

Instead of opting for privatization, she outlined that her prospective administration would allocate the units to civil servants for perpetual use. She emphasized that if she were to assume the presidency, civil servants would simply need to relocate their possessions and settle into any unit of their preference.

She announced that her administration would permit these public servants to reside in those accommodations free of charge, and that the residences would not be reclaimed upon their retirement.

Akua Donkor previously revealed her earnest desire for a spouse to fill the void left by her deceased husband. She expressed the challenges of being without a partner for several months, anticipating even greater difficulties once active political campaigning commences in 2024. Speaking in Twi, she expressed her desire for a distinguished gentleman to serve as Ghana’s very First Gentleman, implying her confidence in winning the national presidential elections under the banner of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP).

YEN.com.gh reported that Akua Donkor had issued a recent pronouncement asserting that John Mahama would not reclaim the presidency. She elaborated that she had placed a curse upon the NDC flagbearer and the party due to what she perceived as ingratitude displayed by the former.
