Dr. Bawumia cuts ribbon for the official opening of the newly built police store

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia inaugurated a ultra-modern shop for the Ghana Police Service. This sophisticated two-story establishment is designed to function as a one-stop shop for improving the logistical support for the personnel of the police force.

Initially reported by YEN.com.gh, the opulent police boutique was initially stocked with essential policing supplies. However, according to a recent post on @OpemsuoRadio’s X page, the boutique is now brimming with a wide array of attire and accessories, encompassing uniforms, bulletproof vests, boots, and helmets.

Dr Bawumia, accompanied by the Interior Minister, Henry Quartey, and the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, cut the ribbon of the facility for the officers. “Through the establishment of this infrastructure, we are not solely enhancing logistics; we are making a substantial investment in the safety and security of every citizen,” Dr Bawumia said during the unveiling ceremony held on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

The police store is exclusively accessible to service personnel, catering to all their logistical requirements. Since assuming the role of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Dampare has exhibited exceptional leadership in revitalizing the Ghana Police Service. The establishment of the police store aligns with his vision of delivering top-tier policing services with well-equipped and resourceful personnel. This newly inaugurated store is just one of the commendable initiatives introduced by Dampare to adequately equip the officers and enhance the public perception and standing of the Ghana Police Service.
