Ghana: Techiman Municipal Education Service Has Organised Reading and Quiz Competition for Schools

The Techiman Municipal Education Service has organised reading and quiz competition for the various public schools from Kindergarten {KG }level through to the Junior High School {JHS} level within the Municipality.

The Competition was done on Circuit bases which started last term with the KG level and through to Primary and JHS of this 3rd term of the 2024 academic year.
The Primary one to three took English and Twi readings as well as spellings whiles the jhs participated in Science, English and Maths quiz respectively.

The Techiman West Circuit held their turn of the competition on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th of May, 2024 for the Primary and JHS at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Trinity Congregation Church premises in Techiman the Bono East Capital.

Speaking with the School Improvement Support Officer, SISO for Techiman West Circuit, Madam Elizabeth Sakyibea Osan, said the Municipal saw the needful to organised such competition to raise the confidence level of Ghanaian Children and pave way for the Teachers and Pupils within the Circuit to know themselves and enhance good relationships.

Madam Elizabeth further on said, the focus and objectives of the said programme being organised is to inculcate a great confidence in the Pupils in the District for them to be bold in when they find themselves in public gathering.
She also added they want to instill the Pupils with the spirit of punctuality and enhance their reading capability both in the English and Twi languages.

Finally, Madam Sakyibea lauded the participation Schools such as;
Trinity Presby Model JHS, Kromo Presby A, B and C, ST. Dominic, Techiman Methodist A and B, Asuoatwe Islamic, Aduana Model, Techiman Community Primary, Akompanin M/A School, for their great contribution for such colourful program.
