Hajia4Real to face a US court sentence for her fraudulent activities abroad.

Ghanaian artist and public figure, Hajia4Real, also known as Mona Faiz Montrage, is scheduled to receive sentencing on June 28, 2024. Hajia4Real’s lawyers previously requested a three-month sentence from the court, emphasizing her role as a single mother and the critical nature of her presence in her child’s life.

However, the US Attorney’s Office has vehemently opposed this plea, presenting similar cases to advocate for the full 37-month term.The US Attorney’s Office believes that a reduced sentence would not be just and would fail to effectively deter others.

Ghanaian socialite, Hajia4Real revealed that the father of her daughter is the individual who introduced her to internet fraud. She recounted how she first met Allison in 2015 and developed affection for him in the United States of America, unaware of his illicit activities. Subsequently, she learned of his involvement in fraudulent schemes, which he introduced her to and entangled her in. Hajia4Real expressed that Allison has proven to be an irresponsible father to their child.

Her lawyers pleaded for a lenient sentence, underscoring her status as a single mother and the potential harm her absence could inflict on her daughter. Hajia4Real is facing charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracy, and money laundering. Moreover, she is accused of receiving stolen funds, a charge that carries a possible 10-year prison sentence, and conspiring to receive stolen money, which could result in a five-year imprisonment.

She pleaded guilty to the charges against her in February 2024.Reports indicate that Hajia4Reall was implicated in a $2 million romance scam. She allegedly corresponded with one of her victims on numerous occasions and received wire transfers totaling $89,000, purportedly to finance a non-existing business known as ‘The Enterprise’.

Her arrest in the United Kingdom led to her deportation to the United States to confront these allegations.The US Attorney’s Office has vehemently opposed a reduced sentence, contending that it would be unjust and ineffective as a deterrent.
