Haruna Iddrisu’s Steadfast FC is set to benefit immensely from the Promotion of Leicester City to the premiership

Haruna Iddrisu who is the member of parliament for Tamale South is about to hit the jackpot from the transfer of wonder kid Fatawu Issahaku to English side Leicester City this summer.
It so happens that the member of parliament owns the Ghanaian Division side Steadfast FC and orchestrated the player’s move to Portuguese club Sporting Cp for a fee of €1.2 million.

It was not an easy task for the Ghanaian international in Portugal who subsequently left for Leicester City on a season-long loan in a deal that included the mandatory purchase clause activated if Leicester qualified for the Premier League and Issahaku played in over 60% of the matches.

The dream has become a reality and the player has fulfilled his part of the contract, his tally of 6 goals and 11 assists made sure his club qualified for the premiership and is not obliged to sign the player who has a €17million buy-out clause.

Fatawu appeared in over 60% of matches for Leicester City and his exploits quickly made him a fan favourites.

Steadfast FC will have their share of the €17million for Issahaku if Leicester City makes the necessary payment after Sporting CP purchased Issahaku in 2022 for €1.2 the profit from the transfer will be 15.8 million and this sum will equally shared among Steadfast FC and Sporting CP, with each team receiving €7.9 million.
