Kendrick Lamar Duckworth , is an American rapper and songwriter. He is often referred to as one of the greatest rappers of his generation.
Kendrick has finally released the most anticipated video for his diss track “Not Like Us”.
The rapper has been in a heated beef with his colleague Drake since the year 2013. The beef however intensifies this year , as both artists kept dropping diss tracks at each other.
“Not Like Us” a diss track Kendrick released on the 4th of May , 2023 for his colleague Drake.
The track upon its release has soured higher in Billboard Charts and making it a contender for the song of the summer.
The track after being released , hits No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 Charts. The artist makes immense contribution , as he performs the Track 6x at his “The Pop Out” concert in Los Angeles.
Lamar released “Not Like Us ” on the 4th of July , 2023 and directed by Dave free and Kendrick.
The video opens with the line “Keep a horn on me , that’s kamasi”, with the artist walking on a lane. He later gets directed by Tommy the clown to enter a metallic room .
In the room , the rapper does push ups , which is a reply to Drake’s “Push Ups” diss track. The artist later moves to hitting an owl pinãta , as a reference to Drake’s OVO owl.
During that scene , the video had a disclaimer which read , “No OVHoes were harmed during the making of this video “.
The video also replies Drake’s diss track”Family Matters” , as in the video Whitney Alford and her two children are dancing with Kendrick.
Drake had earlier said that one of Whitney’s children did not belong to Kendrick , instead belonged to his friend Dave free.
The whole video compliments the track and is also seen as a victory lap for Kendrick , even though he is arguably the victor of the beef between himself and Drake.
