Mauricio Pochettino is certain is time to express his emotions because ever since he became the coach of Chelsea there have been several rumors regarding his future with regards to cash involved in the transfers he had acquired over his stint so far.
After outplaying and scoring two goals against Tottenham the Argentine was asked by reporters regarding his future and in 10 words he said he had had enough.
“I’ve had enough of these stupid rumors. You need to ask the club, whether the club wants me to keep going or not.
“If I have one more year on my contract here and no one says anything, then I suppose that I am going to be here. If there’s a decision and someone says to me ‘ciao’, okay. But we don’t know at the moment”.
The Argentine has been under scrutiny all season for the club’s performances, despite a plethora of issues surrounding the club. From overspending in the summer transfer window to recently having 14 first-team players injured for their match against Spurs, he hasn’t been handed an easy task in taking the Blues back to glory.
Money may not be the factor here and the Argentine coach is known to be poor at teams who overpay for players, a similar situation occurred at Paris Saint Germain where he was supposed to bring the Champions League crown to Paris but he never delivered and as a result, was eventually given the matches orders.
With four games remaining the Blues sit eighth in the premier league table with 51 points with New Castle in seventh with 53 points, it appears Chelsea might miss out again on European football but whatever the case Pochettino has acquired enough experience to revive the club next season and the managers might at least spare him the preseason before sacking him.
