Pulling through difficult times is what most athletes do and that is one quality that makes them unique in their own special way . Simone Biles is one phenomenal American athlete who has proved this statement to be true.
During the 2024 Paris Olympics Games , it was reported that Simone Biles had injured her calf and ankle in the process of training but however , she did not let the injury tie her down to her bed but forged ahead to compete in the gymnastics competition and even stood out with four gold medals to her credit. She keeps making history at every Olympic Games and this was no different.
This has earned her the respect of her husband , Jonathan Owens a football player for the Chicago Bears Safety. He took the opportunity to praise his wife for being a warrior by pushing through and giving an outstanding performance with her injured calf.
He said “My wife is a warrior. That’s one thing I tell people”. He goes on to say that people did not really know the pain she was fighting through just to give an amazing performance and win the gold for the United States.
However , before the performance the coach for the female gymnastics Cecile Canqueteau-Landi told reporters that the calf injury was a minor one that would not hinder the athlete from performing. Simone was later seen with a protective boot which raised concerns but she made the assurance that “Calf is Good” and this was just a precaution that had to be done to protect the calf.
