Tyla Laura Seethel , majorly known in the entertainment industry as Tyla has won for herself , a BET Awards on Monday the 1st of July 2024.
Tyla , is recorded as the youngest African artist to ever win a Grammy. The South African artist has shown impressive performance ever since she came into the entertainment industry.
The young artist grew in fame and captured the hearts of many with her debut “Water”. This global recognition has made the artist the love of many artists and fans.
The heights the young artist is going to has no bound , as on Monday during the 2024 BET Awards , she bagged home several awards.
The awards included Best New Artist of Year and Best International Act. She won the Best New Artist , beating Ayra Starr , 41 , 4Batz , Bossman Dlow and Sexxy Red in that category.
She also beat Asake , Ayra Starr and other artists to win the Best International Act for the BET Awards 2024.
As humble as she is , she dedicates her award to all African artists who did not get the recognition and platform she has got to showcase her talent. She makes it clear in her acceptance speech.
“This is such a a gift to be here. I want to dedicate this one to Africa . I want to dedicate this to all African Superstars before me that didn’t get these opportunities that I’m getting . This is just amazing . Africa to the world guys”. She said , ending her acceptance ,speech.
