“We Might Have To Postpone The Exam”-Says Mister John Kapi Natto.

The Deputy Director of Public Affairs for The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) , Mister John Kapi Natto has stated that the final examination for all Junior High School students which is to be written on the 24th of June , mostly called Basic Education Certificate Examination ( BECE) might have to be postponed.

The examination which is conducted yearly to grade the academic excellence of the students , might get postponed due to financial constraints.

West African Examinations Certificate (WAEC) , the official body for the organization of the examination have brought to light on the dept owed by the Government of the nation to them.

They have however , communicated to the general public through their Public Affairs person that until the amount of GH¢90 million is paid to them , the exam will have to be on hold.

According to Mr. John Kapi Natto , the public affairs person , the examination papers have already been printed with their own money but the money to deploy their officers and questions to the various centers , they do not have , so until they receive their money they are not sending neither the papers nor the officers.

He stated to the media that , “On our part, as I have said to the media over the days , we have managed to get bond paper to print our question papers. So all preliminary preparations have been done. What we need is to get money from the government and then we send our officers out there and conduct the examination “.

Mr. John Kapi Natto added that ” In view of that , we are afraid we might have to postpone the exam because there is no money anywhere for us to use for the examination “.
