Xavi may face the sack immediately after comitting to Barcelona

The Spanish midfielder who won the World Cup after a series of bad results finally gave up on managing Barcelona he professed quitting at the end of the season but changed his mind thus opting to commit to his boyhood club.

Barcelona is in a lot of financial crisis with several key players already missing from the Cam Nou, they had to struggle even before making a major signing, and most of the players had to lower their wages.

This probably had a cause in the coach wanting to quit the club but we all know how it feels to forgo what one loves, it is not easy.

The second spot is now a challenge for the coach to achieve, Barcelona is practically battling Girona for the second-place finish. they will take on Rayo Vallecano on May 19 and end the season with a trip to Sevilla on May 25. After that, it will remain to be seen how talks progress and if Barcelona do decide to part ways with the World Cup-winning midfielder.

In his press conference, Xavi addressed the club’s financial situation and having to adjust to the new demands due to those economic restrictions. Xavi’s words angered Laporta and the club’s board with those close to the club president suggesting that the 44-year-old cannot continue as the coach of the club past this summer.

Xavi is still finding it hard to believe his boyhood club is in financial crisis and even though he cannot voice it out the frustration is there for all to see, he may have hope in players like Lamine Yamal and Pedri but as it stands his future hangs in the balance already.
